Friendly reminder for us all to check our attitudes at the door.  No reason to be yucky with others, when the truth is you’re mad at yourself.

Happy Birthday TalithaCumi+3, with Love

Greetings!

I pray that all is well with each and every one of my readers.  First of all, I want to thank my Heavenly Father for allowing me to bring this portion of my journey to manifestation FOUR years ago, October 6, 2014.  Can you believe it?  I can.  It wasn’t for anybody else to understand, but me (even down to the name)! The facial expressions and attempts to even pronounce my blog’s name is hilarious! Hey, all I can do is lovingly correct, and move on. 🙂 God provided, and all I’m here to do is SERVE. Boy oh Boy…there’s level to this walk, right?  Deep down inside I knew I had to get this part done, and for that I’ve been truly blessed.

Can I tell you a secret?  He actually gave me this ministry back in 2010! Friends, He whispered a couple of things, but a blog wasn’t one of them.  All I know is, that He has a sense of humor.  I’m truly one of those that made all kinds of plans, and God straight up laughed at me (in a loving way). We humans make plans, but the LORD has the final word (Proverbs 16:1, CEV).

And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise (Mark 5:41, KJV).

Notice, I said blessed, not pit, problem, or circumstance free. It’s only by His grace and mercy that I’m still here, let alone STILL bringing you this content with substance. It would be straight-up lies if I told you that this was easy, but it’s not (let’s save that for another post, shall we)?

I want to encourage us all to continue to make those small faith steps even when we can’t see what’s on the other side.  It’s only by faith/faith alone where God causes the impossible to happen.  By far, I know I have a looooonnnggg way to go with this platform, but at least I started. (Inserts transparency moment, followed by a virtual shoulder shrug). I’m human, not perfection-contrary to popular belief. 🙂

Cheers to us all for walking a tailor-made path God created just for us. For those of us, that are too shy to comment, share, or those that simply read and move on, know that I appreciate you and pray that you keep rising!  Always remember, that you have been endowed with a spirit of a warrior to rise, conquer, and slay every giant that seeks to destroy your life. I pray that your soul continue to be blessed, and by the power of God you experience a transformative, abundant life that Jesus promised.  Until we meet again, I truly love you to life!

xoxo,

The Risen Warrior

It Starts with You

Hope this missive finds you well.  Here’s a little something to ponder for today.  Let’s talk passivity, and why it won’t work or should be tolerated in this new season of our lives.  Passivity removes us from taking sole responsibility for our overall well-being, and causes us to be accepting of what happens to us without active response or resistance.  Our “safe” response to the dysfunctional toxicity in/around our lives summons us to a place of allowing God to handle “it”, while we quickly dismiss ourselves from the process.  NO!!! Take ownership beloved, do the work, and HEAL.

God is All-Powerful, and His plans for our lives will always prevail.  He never created us to be in a space of waiting for Him to do this or that while we sit back and do nothing.  God is a loving God, and will never push or force Himself onto us.  He’s always willing and able to partner with us and help us move life along.  Friends, no matter where you are in your journey, or what you’re going through, God is ready to join you in stewarding your life to a healthy, and happy space.  Make a decision to not allow passivity to plague your soul.  Be FREE.  Be FREE from INSANITY.  Be FREE from repetitive cycles that seek to keep your soul in bondage. Selah.

Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals.  Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked (John 5:1-8, NIV).

Until we meet again, I love you to life!

Am I Spiritually Healthy?

Recharging in the presence of God is essential to our spiritual health.  Pits, problems, or circumstances have a way of pressing into our space, causing us to isolate from others, disconnect from God by not wanting to pray, read our Word, or attend church.  Spiritual dehydration leads to spiritual death, and spiritual death can lead to Eternal separation from God, if we’re not careful. The latter happens if we fail to yield to the Lord and His way of doing things.

Beloved, as we strive for total wellness in every other area of our lives, the most important is our spiritual life.  It’s easy to bring balance when we focus on our Creator, and accept His help to recover from this thing we called life.

As a deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you God.  I thirst for God, the living God.  When can I come and appear before God (Psalm 42 1-2, HCSB)?

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you (Psalm 51:12, NLT).

Until we meet again, I love you to life!

The highest form of low self-esteem, is completely ignoring who God always intended and created you to be, in order to gain other people’s approval, to make them feel better about themselves, and ultimately won’t change for you.  That’s not of God!

For He has called us to Let our light shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16, KJV).

Don’t allow anyone to dim the light of His glory within you.  Don’t take on a sense of false responsibility for anyone else and their own issues that they have yet to face. Prayer is key. The only person you have to the power to change is yourself!  Only God can heal, and manifest His glory within us all. Until we meet again, I love you to life!

Relationships 103

Beloved,

Hope and pray that all is well.  Where did the time go?  We’re almost half-way through the year and I’m wiser, stronger, and better than before.  So with all that being said, I would like to wish myself a very Happy Birthday!

Let’s jump right in, shall we?  Today’s focus is on relationships.  That’s right.  We can’t do life alone.  Don’t get me wrong, we can; but life can be so much sweeter if you have a husband/wife, significant other, family, friend, or someone to simply connect or relate to.  In short, relationship is a connection.

At some point, we need to take inventory of our relationships.  Think about all that it takes out of us to grow, maintain, and cultivate each and every relationship that we form. Friends, don’t be deceived, the most important relationship starts with our Heavenly Father. Some may not agree, and that’s okay.  I’m definitely not here to argue, but to simply share His love, mercy, and grace.

My prayer is that all of my readers, will take into consideration where they will spend Eternity, for this life on Earth is only temporary.  The only reason I can boast and brag in Him is because I have my own personal relationship with Him.  It’s nowhere near perfection, but I have one.  Consider the following and know that it’s not the be-all and end-all approach but can be used as a tool to get us all started in the right direction of healthy relationship(s).

  • Is God at the center of the relationship?

-The key is for both parties involved to have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior.

  • Is there love for God, self, and each other according to 1 Corinthians 13?
  • Is there a mutual covenant involved?

Literally, a contract. In the Bible, covenant can be defined as the conditional promises made to humanity by God.  It can also be defined as the agreement between God and the ancient Israelite’s, in which God promised to protect them if they kept His law and were faithful to Him.  The fundamental difference between covenants and other agreements is the relationship established between the covenant makers.

  • Are both parties loyal to God, self, and each other?
  • Is there sacrifice involved?

In a healthy relationship, sacrifice is not just made by one person, ideally it should be mutual. Reciprocity should also be a constant in the midst of the relationship.

  • Compromise
  • Emotional Attachment

-It’s important to decipher the difference between connections vs. attachments.  Think about it.  You can easily attach yourself to someone, and someone can attach themselves to you, but it doesn’t make it right or healthy.  It’s advisable to have a healthy sense of introspection to determine if goes beyond being unnatural or unfavorable.

Until we meet again, I love you to life!

The gift of freewill from God is indescribable. His unwavering, unconditional love is poured out for us to willingly obey Him. Now pause for a moment, and think about the freedom in that.

Everything is permissible”-but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible”-but not everything is constructive (I Corinthians 10:23, NIV).
