Life or Death

Dear Beloved,

I pray that all is well with you. Some pits, problems, or circumstances, are designed to drive us closer to our God-given purpose/destiny or cause us to sacrifice everything we stand for/believe in what appears to be right, yet so wrong for our life.  Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.  God is gentle and His love is unconditional, and that’s two of the many things that I love about Him. He gave us the gift of freewill.  He gives us the option to follow Him and live an abundant life or choose a path that will only lead a life of not only pain, but destruction as well. Am I the only person in this world that’s real enough to admit that I’ve thought some thoughts, said some things, or made decisions that I’m not proud of?  I’m sure that I’m not.

The problem in our world today is that some Christians like myself (once upon at time) are/were too much of a coward to deal with our own internal struggles that we won’t dare admit to ourselves, others, or God. We shift blame on others, try to hide, or present our false best selves to others (aka facade), but the truth is we can’t hide from God. The danger in never facing the reality of a pit, problem, or circumstance is that it will keep coming up in our lives until we truly address the root cause of it.  True freedom is when you can approach the throne of grace willing to bare our entire soul to the Lord on a daily basis, not just in a crisis.

To whomever this particular message may reach, I want you to know and always remember that you can learn to accept yourself for who you are (flaws and all), and who you are becoming. If you don’t like it, you can change it.  If you don’t have the strength to change it alone, seek help not only from God, but also someone you can trust. Who you are today, will not be who you are tommorrow.  Trust and believe there’s levels to any growth process. Remember God didn’t create us to be perfect.  He already knew that this life wouldn’t be easy.  In our brokenness, is where He does His best work if we allow Him to. Not all pits, problems, or circumstances are set up to destroy us. Trials and tribulations may come and go, but their sole purpose is to drive us closer to the Lord or simply accept Him.

God will also allow certain things to happen to teach us that we can get through anything, not everything in life comes easy, and not everything we want will be ours.  In the midst of our pits, problems, or circumstances, we can learn a lot about ourselves.  We can also learn that God will send people along the way who will have a certain role in our lives, and we shouldn’t try to change it. For this week, I challenge you to really look at your circle, and most of all yourself.  Is their purpose in your life for a reason, season, or a lifetime? Have you ever considered how much easier it is to have answers for everybody else, especially when we refuse to look at our lives? Until we meet again, I love you to life!

xoxo,

The Risen Warrior

Counterfeit Love

Dear Beloved,

I pray that your day is well, and that somehow, someway you can grab and retain that blessed peace that only God provides. Just decided to flow with the Spirit and bring a little content with substance. Let’s jump right in, shall we?

Do you find that sometimes our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ comes from our head and not our heart? Let me explain. We loosely use the expression about us or another “being all in their feelings”, or being emotionally unstable.  If we’re not careful we can fall into the trap with being in the love with the concept of God, but our hearts are far away from Him. The Bible speaks to this: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength (Deuteronomy 6:5, NIV).

As we settle into this month, let’s not flirt with the idea of God, but really connect from our heart and love the Lord our God with every fabric of our being.  Until we meet again, I love you to life!  Welcome to all of my new fellow warriors. Thanks for your support. I see you. 🙂  Don’t be shy drop me a comment or send an email.

xoxo,

The Risen Warrior

Begin Again

Our pits, problems, or circumstances can sometimes have a way of throwing us off our path. The good news is that we don’t have to allow fear to grip us from moving forward in our divine purpose/destiny.  Not sure where to turn?  Still trying to figure which direction to go in?  Let me help you with that on today, fellow warrior.  Ready for the answer?  Go back to the last thing you heard God clearly speak to you, and I dare you to begin again.  Trust the process and most importantly, trust/allow God to bring the provision. After all, His promises will forever be YES, and AMEN (IT IS SO)! Until we meet again…I love you to life!

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, NIV).”

Love Has Everything to Do With It

Beloved,

We can’t give what we don’t have for God, ourselves, let alone-our neighbors. When love is misplaced, used, or even abused, it’s easy for every fabric of our lives to be a total wreck.  For without love, we will always fail. Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8, NIV). Love must be at the center of everything we say or do. I know.  Easier said than done, but definitely worth a try. Do you want to know why? Each new day that God blesses us to be apart of, represents His compassion and faithfulness. 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3: 22-23, NIV).

Let’s take the time to really seek love for who/what it really is.  It’s then and only then true healing can begin. Below, is good place to start (of many):

“You shall not make for yourself an (image-person, place, or thing) in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments (Exodus 20: 4-6, NIV).

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[a] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] There is no commandment greater than these (Mark 12:30-31, NIV).

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13: 4-6, NIV).

Until we meet again, I LOVE you to life. No I really do.  Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo,

The Risen Warrior

Don’t be bitter, be better. Life is much too precious to waste time on things that won’t matter later.

His Glory…My Good

Beloved,

Let’s be honest. Pits, problems, or circumstances can make or break us (if we allow it). Take a moment to reflect on your journey. Can you remember when you didn’t know how you were going to pay your bills, get out of a toxic relationship, heal from the death of a loved one, or be whole mind, body, soul, and spirit? “BUT GOD”.  Friend, I’m not sure what you’re facing now, but take comfort in knowing that there’s always an exodus from pain. After the rain, the sun will surely shine again.  In your new found joy, and strength you will be able to help somebody else.

At some point, we must realize that we can’t do life on our own.  A posture of humility, prayer, and worship to God can help us overcome the who or what that was intended to destroy us.  The good news is this: You and I are still here, but only by the grace of God!  What will you do today to rise above whatever you are facing?  Until we meet again, I love you to life!  Don’t be shy.  Drop a line in the comments if you dare. 🙂

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives (Genesis 50:20, NIV).
